Mortgage Rates Sharply Higher Amid Election Day Jitters

Mortgage rates began the day only moderately worse off than yesterday's latest offerings, but rose sharply throughout the day . In the late morning and early afternoon, bond market conditions deteriorated rapidly, resulting in most lenders recalling rate sheets to revise rates and fees higher at least once. Mortgage Rates Hold Steady In Spite Of Improved Market Conditions

Mortgage Rates Signifcantly Lower As Markets Close Early

Mortgage rates continued falling this morning despite stronger-than-expected economic data. The trading session was punctuated by an early closure for bond markets owing to Hurricane Sandy and will be completely closed tomorrow. Mortgage Rates Begin The Week In Slightly Better Territory

Mortgage rates moved gently lower to begin the week (and month), ending a two day run toward higher rates on Thursday and Friday. Trading levels in the secondary mortgage market began the day in the same territory as Friday afternoon and gradually improved throughout the day. Best-Execution for 30yr Fixed Conventional Loans remains at 3.25% for the aggressive lenders and still struggling to move lower from 3.375% among more conservatively priced lenders. Mortgage Rates Rise After Hitting All Time Lows On Friday

Mortgage Rates rose slightly to begin the week after hitting new all-time lows last Friday. Today's rates weren't much worse, and Best-Execution remains at 3.625% , but several lenders recalled rate sheets for negative adjustments due to late-day weakness in secondary mortgage market trading.
